The last seven weeks have led me to delve deeper into scriptures to understand God’s response to trauma
I experienced the I AMs in a different, fresh way through the scripture engagement tool
In moments of despair, I am able to find hope in Christ and his laying down his life for me
I know I am complete, accepted and unconditionally loved by God’s eyes however broken or imperfect I may be
The Asha journey was showed me how I can imitate Christ in our current sociocultural context
I believe I can be compassionate in my actions even if it may mean going against norms and expectations
The stories in the booklet helped me relate to what women in situations of abuse or trauma go through
I am more aware and informed about trauma than I was before
I feel equipped and empowered to respond to instances of trauma
I believe a tool like Asha can help churches and Christians to be more informed and sensitive to trauma
I feel confident to lead/ facilitate a group in my own community or circle using the Asha scripture engagement tool
