Learning and Assessment for Continuous Certification

What are the new developments in your subspecialty that are relevant and important to your practice? What are the "must-read" articles for your subspecialty peers? Help identify the knowledge that should be expected of UCNS diplomates for continued certification in their subspecialty. Submit the recent journal articles and/or practice guidelines you feel are most relevant to physicians practicing in your neurologic subspecialty.

Criteria for submissions include:
  • Research is recent (within 1-2 years)
  • Each topic must include the supporting reference
  • Journal sources must be from peer-reviewed subspecialty journals, peer-reviewed journals from related primary specialty fields, or updated published practice guidelines
  • Supporting sources should be readily available for UCNS diplomates
  • Multiple submissions are encouraged and must be submitted using the online submission form

All submissions will be reviewed by your subspecialty's UCNS certification examination committee and selected topics will be included on an annual reading list of resources that will be available on the UCNS website and sent to UCNS diplomates in early 2020. Diplomates will be required to read the selected articles then complete a brief online 25-question quiz relating to the reading list topics. Diplomates will have three attempts to achieve 80% correct on the quiz to meet the annual continuous-certification learning requirements.
