Penguin Random House (PRH) seeks authenticity readers with a variety of backgrounds and experiences to help us achieve the most informed and authentic portrayals possible in the books we publish. We are not expecting our authenticity readers to speak on behalf of entire communities, and we understand that each reader’s personal and/or professional experience will inform their unique read.
In this questionnaire, we would like to collect information about you in order to match you with opportunities to read for our authors. It will take about 20 minutes to complete, and you will be able to edit your responses at any time, even after you click "Done" at the end, as long as you DO NOT clear your cookies for this website. As a backup, we recommend copying and pasting your answers somewhere in case you do delete your cookies.

Once you submit your answers, your name, email, and information will be stored in a database accessible only to certain PRH employees, in accordance with the PRH privacy policy at www.penguinrandomhouse.com/privacy. If you are found to have knowingly provided false information, we will remove you from the database.
You will only be contacted (by email) if you are a candidate for an authenticity read, and if selected, you will receive details on how to proceed, including guidelines, compensation, timing, and more. Completing this questionnaire does not guarantee you will be selected, and you may decline our request to do an authenticity read for any reason.
