The Arc Lane County is now accepting nominations for the 2018 Annual Arc Awards Banquet on March 22!
 
The Arc Awards recognize people in our community who generously give their time and talent to improve the quality of life for people who experience intellectual and/or developmental disabilities (I/DD).

Lane County is blessed with many people who contribute in a variety of ways to support people who experience I/DD and their families. This is a special time when we honor our community leaders and partners. 
Award Winners will be recognized at our Annual Banquet on Thursday, March 22, 2018.
 
ELIGIBILITY

Nominations are now being accepted for individuals or businesses in Lane County who made extraordinary efforts to improve the lives of people who experience I/DD. Nominees do not have to be a member of The Arc or have a significant role within The Arc and all community members can submit a nomination.

TO SUBMIT A NOMINATION

Please submit this form and attach a letter explaining why you feel this person deserves to be recognized, include examples of what makes the nominee special. Nominations should also include at least three letters of support. Letters of support can be submitted with this form or emailed to angela.phinney@arclane.org before March 8th.

DEADLINE

Nominations, including all supporting documents, must be received no later than March 8, 2018

AWARD CATEGORIES

Director Service Professional Award
Recognizes an exceptional individual who is employed in the field of direct service to people who experience I/DD, e.g. classroom assistant or direct care staff in vocational, residential or recreational programs who has.
Employer of the Year Award
Recognizes a business or an individual representing a business who employs people or a person who experiences I/DD. This award is given to an employer who has made extraordinary efforts to bring people who experience I/DD into the employment mainstream.
Volunteer of the Year Award
Recognizes an individual who generously gives his or her time and talent to benefit people who experience I/DD. This award is given to a volunteer who made a significant contribution to the welfare of people with I/DD and/or to The Arc Lane County.
The volunteer cannot be a professional in the field of I/DD.
Teacher of the Year Award
Recognizes an individual teacher for outstanding and exemplary skills in educating students who experience I/DD.
Good Neighbor Award
Recognizes a business or agency that performed an exceptional service on behalf of a people or a person who experiences I/DD and their families in our community.
Self Determination Award
Recognizes an individual who experiences I/DD for either personal achievement or by helping and inspiring others.
Lifetime Achievement Award
This award memorializes an individual who created a lifelong, positive impact to improve the lives of those who experience I/DD and their families.
