The NSW government wants to know what you think!

The Department of Finance, Services and Innovation (the Department) is looking to re-develop the Apps4NSW program, a program that has run over the last several years which uses data to help create innovative web and mobile applications.

The Department has opted for a community centred service design approach, which adopts an iterative approach to solving problems because it makes feedback from the citizens whom services are being designed for, a critical part of how the service evolves. The benefits of this approach are that the customers who will use the service are involved in its design throughout the process helping ensure that services created will be adopted and embraced. This information will be used to shape the new Apps4NSW program to help ensure it is embraced by the developer community and delivers solutions for the citizens of NSW that are valued and adopted.

The Department has commissioned an independent research company (GfK Australia) to carry out this research on its behalf. GfK Australia will be conducting a series of 2 hour workshop sessions in August with developers, designers, marketers to name a few. It will provide you with an opportunity to network with others in the industry and as a thank you for your time and expenses to attend the session, we would like to offer you a $100 EFTPOS card.

If you can't take part in these sessions, we will also be running a short online survey in September.

Participation in the research is, of course, voluntary. GfK Australia has been commissioned by the Department to maintain strict confidentiality of individual responses, and the information sent to the Department will not identify individual respondents without your explicit and prior permission.

If you know someone who might also like to take part in the Apps4NSW program, please feel free to forward this invitation on to them.

If you would like to take part in this research we will need to ask you a few questions first to make sure we invite you to the right session.

If you have any questions at all about the research process, please email
