The aim of the “Gender Leader” competition, which is organized by The Africa CEO Forum, is to recognize the company, active in Africa, that has demonstrated an unparalleled commitment to encouraging female leadership, especially within its executive bodies.

Eligible candidates :
Any company or group of companies active in Africa. For non-African multinationals whose HQ are not based in Africa, only the aspects that concern Africa will be taken into consideration.

Candidature by application, third-party nomination (company or individual), or identification by the Africa CEO Forum’s editorial team.

Jury :
List to be provided

Criteria : 
- Women’s representation in the company’s boardroom
- Percentage of women on the executive committee of the group and its subsidiaries
- Company strategy in fostering women’s leadership

Procedure : 
- The call for applications will be open from 14 november to 31 december 2018. 
- The winning organization will receive its trophee during a dedicated session at the next edition of the AFRICA CEO FORUM, the 25 and 26 march 2019 in Kigali (Rwanda). 
- The nominated companies will be informed a few weeks before the event. They must commit to sending one of their leaders to the Africa CEO Forum.
