Throughout the first half of 2016, union staff and officers surveyed nearly a thousand SEIU 509 members through our Reach Every Member initiative. In face-to-face and small group meetings, hundreds of human service workers and educators weighed in with their concerns over workload/caseload, privatization threats, staff morale, wages, benefits and more. Our upcoming contract negotiations offer a chance to tackle these issues head on -- an opportunity that comes only once every three years.
