Background Information

The City of Wanneroo has recently completed a Master Planning process for Alexander Heights Park, Alexander Heights. The Development of the Master Plan has been led by the South Ward Community Reference and Sporting User Group (The Group), which was set up by Council in 2014, including Elected Members, local residents and sporting club executive members.

The Group provided recommendations which include the provision of installation of a disc golf course to link Alexander Heights Park and Ian Robbins Park, passive fitness facilities, drink fountain, and refurbish existing toilet facilities and increased path network and consideration to developing a youth precinct.

The Master Plan development will be staged with stage one to include the fitness equipment with path network and Disc Golf course development.
The consultation period commences on Monday 4 July, with an onsite community meeting to be held at Alexander Heights Park on Wednesday 13 July 2016, commencing at 5:00pm. This event will allow interested community members the opportunity to view the draft concept plan and the proposed Alexander Heights Active Reserve Master Plan onsite and make comment to the City Officers. The Consultation period will conclude on Friday 29 July 2016.
