Welcome!

Welcome to the self-submission form for albert’s Education Partnership, where you can submit the great work you and your peers have been doing in your institution around sustainability and have it showcased on our website.

Please note: it is down to albert’s discretion how and when case studies are shared on the alert website.

This may mean that we share some but not all of the information they provide, we may take case studies down after publication, and we may choose to not share some case studies at all.

If you have any queries about any of the above, please reach out to albertcomms@bafta.org and cc in alberteducation@bafta.org
FAQs

Who is allowed to submit?
If you’re a student studying at one of our albert Education Partners, you’re allowed to submit a project to us. This is to showcase the fantastic hard work and imaginative sustainability being done by students at our partner institutions. You don’t have to be studying a film/television production course, but we are currently only looking to showcase moving image productions as this is what albert specialises in!

What can we submit?
You can submit moving image pieces (short films, animations, VFX pieces, costume showcases etc) created through or outside of your course (the creatives must all be studying at the partner institution) – you don’t have to submit the short itself, but please upload 3-6 images (stills or behind the scenes photos) and tell us about your experience creating it below.

Do I have to submit a project made through my course?
No, as long as you’re a student with one of our partner institutions you’re welcome to submit your own independent projects as well as your course ones – however you will still need to submit a tutor email address within your submission. You’ll also need to touch on how the albert sustainability fundamentals (as taught through your course) has affected how you created the project.

How many people can submit?
We ask that each project is only submitted once, but as many people as you like can contribute to the showcase submission questions below. If a project is submitted more than once, we may not be able to showcase repeats on our website.

Does my project have to be about sustainability?
No, we’re happy to showcase and celebrate projects that don’t have onscreen content about sustainability. We will still ask you some questions about how the albert sustainability fundamentals (as taught through your course) has affected how you created the project, and what you’ve done behind the scenes to make your film sustainably. And remember, there’s always subtle ways to put climate content into your projects (e.g. have a look at our Editorial section if you need some inspiration).

I’m not sure how to answer the questions?
That’s okay, we’re not looking for an essay or a perfect article – we want to hear what you have to say about your project! If you need some inspiration, you can find some of our full-length case studies here.

I’m a tutor – can I submit my student’s project?
You can submit on behalf of a student, however you must have their permission and we are eager to hear directly from our students in the showcase questions.

How many projects can I submit?
There is currently no limit to the number of projects submitted by an individual, but we do ask that each project is distinct in the answers you provide.

How do the full case studies get chosen?
Full-length case studies are curated in a number of ways including recommendations from tutors in partner institutions and selections from self-submissions. We unfortunately are limited in the number of full case studies we can curate, and so created this self-submission process so that we can celebrate everyone’s hard work!
