Thank you for your interest in volunteering with the National Women's Studies Association (NWSA)! We are seeking volunteers to sit on our conference Access and Inclusion Committee for our upcoming Annual Conference in Atlanta, Georgia in November 2026.

Accessibility Committee Objectives:
  • Provide appropriate assistance and guidance in integrating accessibility values, beyond reasonable accommodations, into our 2026 conference offerings
  • Identify and develop resources for presenters and attendees on adopting accessible practices in regards to their presentations and means of connecting with one another.
  • Work with the National Office and Governing Council on initiatives that warrant meaningful integration of accessible interventions as it relates to the 2026 conference
The NWSA recognizes that such service may entail 6-8 hours of time each month between March - October 2026. The Committee will meet to establish roles and expectations and agree on frequency of meetings in order to ensure timely and ethical review of accessibility commitments for the NWSA Annual Conference.
