AAMP provides an important service to our city by bringing diverse communities together in appreciation of the Black experience. Its exciting exhibitions and thought-provoking public programs highlight the art and culture of African Americans. Each year 20,000 students learn important lessons on African American history by visiting the museum. These outstanding programs and activities make AAMP a favorite destination for city residents and tourists alike.
AAMP offers an authentic perspective on African American art, history, and culture. I hope you will demonstrate your commitment to the diversity of Philadelphia’s cultural sector by supporting the restoration of AAMP’s annual allocation.
