Grant Update as of July 29, 2020.  Please note we are not reviewing any new applications at this time.  We are working with City, nonprofit and community leaders to determine next steps for the Fund, as well as raising additional funds for future grants.  We anticipate reopening the grant application process in early September.

ACT for Alexandria is pleased to announce that the ACT Now COVID-19 Response Fund, established by ACT and the City of Alexandria, has raised $1M since March 14. The spirit of collective action is core to Alexandria and Alexandrians have responded to the call to come together to support those in need and contribute to the vitality and vibrancy of our community.

The Fund has awarded $904,000 to 82 organizations providing emergency relief to support our neighbors affected by the COVID-19 outbreak.

Based on feedback we received from our community survey and conversations, we will be re-examining the funding priorities of the ACT Now Fund and taking a pause on accepting new applications.

Please note - your organization must have 501c3 status to apply.  If you have a fiscal agent/sponsor, you may also be eligible to receive funding. Please contact Brandi Yee at brandi.yee@actforalexandria.org if you have questions about eligibility or about the Fund.
