The New Mexico Acequia Association is conducting an annual acequia survey as part of a statewide acequia needs assessment. If you have already filled this survey out in previous years, please complete it again. The survey is being conducted under contract with the State of New Mexico. The results of the survey will be used to plan for educational programs for acequias.
Information collected in this survey will be included in a statewide inventory and needs assessment of acequias and shared with the State of New Mexico. It is important to note that acequias are defined s local governments in state law. This survey primarily seeks to collect information which is generally considered public information. A few questions seek an opinion about needs and challenges facing your acequia. Acequia contact information may be used by NMAA or the State of New Mexico to inform you about educational and funding opportunities.
Participation in this survey is completely voluntary. By participating in this survey, you are granting permission to include this information in a statewide acequia inventory and needs assessment. If you have any concerns sharing certain information, you can opt out of those questions.
