About the Retreat
Bi-annually, the Virginia Sexual and Domestic Violence Action Alliance (Action Alliance) hosts a Retreat for advocates working on the front lines of sexual and domestic violence services. The Retreat is a time for connection, reflection, healing, and learning.
The 2017 Action Alliance Biennial Retreat will be held on the campus of Radford University June 7-9, 2017.
The theme for 2017 is Bravery - "Having the Courage to Encourage." When you submit your workshop proposal, we encourage you to keep this theme in mind recognizing that individuals are taking huge steps to speak out in the hopes of building a better, more equal future for all our children.
We are looking for a creative, diverse set of workshops and presentations. We encourage you to think outside the box to share your expertise with your colleagues that inspires openness, willingness, boldness and wholeness. Topics can include but are not limited to:
