The Senator John Heinz History Center’s African American Program, in partnership with the Afro-American Historical & Genealogical Society of Pittsburgh and the Department of Africana Studies at the University of Pittsburgh,  are considering hosting a virtual genealogy workshop called “African American and Native American Ancestry.”

The presenters will be Dr. Alaina Roberts, of the University of Pittsburgh, and Angela Walton-Raji, a noted African American and Native Peoples genealogist.

The workshop is currently scheduled for Saturday May 16, 2020 from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon. The workshop will be delivered online through the Zoom platform for registered participants.

In order to facilitate the workshop, the History Center is interested in knowing if its constituents will participate. Please answer the below questions to the best of your ability.
