The iaedp Foundation AAEDP-BIPOC Special Interest Group (SIG) is now accepting applications for its annual Symposium scholarship program through 11:00pm EST on December 14, 2025.

Eating disorders affect people of all races, ethnicities, genders, ages, body shapes, body weights, sexual orientations, and socioeconomic statuses. Early detection and intervention are critical. As providers, we are part of that intervention.

In the field of Marriage and Family Therapy exists the therapy model, Solution Focused Brief Therapy. A technique from this model is called The Miracle Question. Here is a spin on The Miracle Question.

  • Must be an active member of iaedp
  • Identify within the AAEDP-BIPOC Community
  • Reflections must be a minimum of 300 words
  • Essays must be submitted by 11:00pm EST on Sunday, December 14, 2025
  • Awardees must be available to attend the 2026 Symposium in Baltimore, Maryland
  • Awardees will be given a special code to register for the 2026 Symposium
  • Awardees are only eligible to receive one (1) discounted registration to the 2026 Symposium
