VAM Diagnostic

This VAM Diagnostic Tool is created to help you understand how well your organization executes its Vision, Culture, and Strategy.

Instructions:  On a scale of 1-5, indicate the extent to which each of the following statements describes the way things stand right now in the group. The terms we, our, everyone, and people in the statements refers to members of the group.
1.We understand and believe our vision is the right one.
2.We agree on the top goals we need to execute together.
3.We agree on how to measure if we are on target.
4.We agree with what priorities are most important, and what priorities can be sacrificed, in order to hit our targets. 
5.We have an aligned process to make decisions when implementing the strategy. 
6.We use the company's Vision to motivate others
7.Sufficient resources are supplied, so the group can hit its targets (e.g. budget, people, technology)
8.We offer opportunities to grow with challenging projects
9.We have the right people in the right roles (strengths-based). 
10.We delegate and empower effectively so that tasks are completed in a timely manner. 
11.Our group effectively coordinates with other groups to ensure efforts are in sync (avoid bottlenecks or redundancy of efforts).

16.We are willing to experiment and learn from failure. 
17.We don’t say ‘It’s not my job’ when problems arise.
18.We are proactive to try new ways to achieve our vision.
