Leaning In When Times Are Hard: Upstream Prevention

Thank you for your time and insights.

Research and experience have clearly demonstrated that social connection has the power to support people through many of life’s challenges such as depression, anxiety, substance use disorders and suicidal intensity and yet our initial market research suggests that people are often reluctant to connect with someone they care about that they believe is “struggling”.

For this reason, we are trying to understand both the barriers to supporting someone in your life as well as what supports have been most helpful to you during hard times. It is our intention to use this information to inform us in the development and promotion of a training for community members to help them  gain confidence in  supporting someone in their life who appears to be going through a hard time.

This survey is anonymous. It should only take about five minutes to complete. You can stop at any time and can skip any questions you are not comfortable with. If you are under 18, please ask a parent or guardian if you can participate.

Thank you in advance for your essential feedback.
