Pend Oreille PUD Clean Energy Public Survey

Pend Oreille PUD invites you to take part in a short community survey as we develop our Clean Energy Implementation Plan (CEIP). The survey asks about the challenges our community and vulnerable populations face today, the factors you think are important when evaluating the benefits and costs of clean energy, and the values you believe should guide planning for electricity in our area.

Your answers are anonymous and will only be used to help shape our 2026 CEIP. The survey should take less than five minutes to complete.

Your input is important to us and will help guide decisions about the future of energy in our community.
1.What type of respondent are you?
2.Which clean energy sources do you prefer for Pend Oreille PUD’s electricity?
3.Which values are most important when planning clean energy in our community? (Select up to 3)
4.Which aspects of clean energy matter most to you? (Select all that apply)
5.Which groups in Pend Oreille County do you think are most vulnerable to energy and environmental challenges? (Select all that apply)
6.What risks or challenges most affect vulnerable communities? (Select all that apply)
7.How important is installing a solar-plus-battery system at community facilities (e.g., schools, community centers) to support medical needs, cooling, refrigeration, and energy resilience for vulnerable populations?
8.If increasing clean energy (like solar) increases your electric bill, how would you feel about supporting this effort?
9.How much more would you be willing to pay per month to increase Pend Oreille PUD’s clean energy?
10.If the PUD offered a voluntary incentive program that allowed it to briefly adjust settings on specific devices (for example, a water heater or thermostat) during certain periods of the year when electric demand is high, how likely would you be to participate?
