GISP_RE Expressions of Interest (EOI)

The Gateway to Industry Schools Program (GISP) is an initiative funded and supported by the Queensland Government. Energy Skills Qld (ESQ) is the proud industry partner of the GISP_RE Program. Renewable Energy refers to the generation of electricity through natural resources, such as wind, solar and hydropower. The renewable energy industry encompasses renewable energy generation (e.g. wind, solar, bioenergy, hydro, wave and geothermal), storage (e.g. batteries and pumped hydro storage), connection and transmission, as well as manufacturing of components. Occupations and skill sets within this industry include electrical trades, construction roles, technicians, engineers and science and technology professionals to develop, construct, operate and maintain renewable energy projects (refer to the Future Energy Jobs Guide).

We welcome your EOI and look forward to working with 30 schools across the state. You will be notified March 7 of your status and asked to then have your principal sign an official MOU. Good Luck!
