The Office of Developmental Programs (ODP) and the Office of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (OMHSAS) are requesting presentation proposals for the jointly hosted Dual Diagnosis Conference. The conference will be held in person at the Penn Stater Hotel in State College, Pennsylvania on April 13th and 14th of 2027. The Dual Diagnosis Conference is a professional conference primarily for clinicians, care workers, and support professionals that shares best practices for supporting individuals with an intellectual disability and co-occurring mental health challenges. Individuals with intellectual disabilities and family members may also attend. The 2027 conference will focus on complex care across the lifespan. We are particularly interested to hear from people who have developed and/or effectively implemented models of support for individuals with intellectual disabilities and/or autism in the following areas:
- Medically Complex Children (including eligibility)
- Child and Adolescent Mental Health
- Medically Complex Children with Mental Illness (Complex Cases)
- Transition Planning
- Geriatric Mental Health
- Wellness
Session slots will be 45 to 90 minutes. All sessions will be delivered live and in-person.
Deadline to submit proposals is November 16.The conference team will reach out by mid-December to notify applicants of their selection status.
