Apprenticing (shadowing physicians) & HIPAA Training

Extracurricular activities are vital when applying to medical school. Apprenticing (shadowing physicians) is one of the best activities to engage in and gives you a better understanding of the profession on a daily basis. Dr. Kellaway (Associate Dean of Admissions & Outreach) will discuss apprenticing and proper etiquette when shadowing a physician. In addition, Dr. Kellaway will include a HIPAA training at the end of the webinar that will certify you in the event it’s required when volunteering at a healthcare facility. Our special medical student guests for this Club PreMED WebChat include Abe Bankole (President – Student National Medical Organization).
