Nomination - Deadline May 26, 2023

The Champion of Education and Workforce Development Award was created by MDF to recognize the exceptional work of an individual or organization in expanding access to affordable education, certification, skill building, career enhancement, and workforce development opportunities for Mainers. Awardees must demonstrate a commitment to economic growth in Maine at the state, regional, or local level; ability to collaborate and create partnerships in order to accomplish objectives; high professional standards that model behavior for others; and innovativeness of idea/approach to economic development.
As this year's theme is "Aspire: Unlocking the Potential of Maine to Thrive and Prosper," please include in your considerations how the person, organization, or business you are nominating has demonstrated exceptional leadership that epitomizes this theme, and furthers systemic change toward equity and inclusion.
If you have questions about the award or process, please contact Erica Watson, Senior Program Director, Education and Workforce at ewatson@mdf.org.
