Prevalent graffiti and tagging has been an ongoing challenge for many of our members and the MPBIA Board of Directors has decided to take action, hiring Futur Graffiti Solutions to take care of the problem on a weekly basis (for a 3 month trial). Before the team at Futur can get started, we require the permission of an authorized representative of each business or property, in writing, so that we can address the issue on your building. To ensure authorized representatives are informed of this program, we will be mailing this document along with the required City form to property owners. Please contact your property owner to ensure you have authorization.
In the next week staff from the MPBIA will be in the area circulating a permission document. To simplify the process, we have also created this online sign up form. To participate in this initiative, please fill out the form below and download the City of Vancouver and Vancouver Police consent forms via PDF, linked below. By filling in the form below and clicking the authorization button you are authorizing the MPBIA and Futur Graffiti Solutions to report and remove graffiti on your business or property.

These documents can be dropped off at or mailed to the MPBIA or, alternatively, picked up by a MPBIA staff member at your convenience.
To reduce the cost of this program, the MPBIA is working with the City of Vancouver’s Integrated Graffiti Management Program, through which we have access to some free Dulux paint for each business. To ensure a colour match when painting over graffiti we require the brand name and swatch number of your exterior paint. Please submit them below.
Paint Out Pilot Project:
We are also investigating simple but effective methods to beautify and brighten the Mount Pleasant streetscape and are launching the Paint Out Pilot Project. We are looking for exterior walls in the area that could be repainted our branded BLUE and maintained by Futur indefinitely. These blue walls will add color and interest to the neighbourhood and will be considered for murals in the future (First come basis, 10 walls will be included in this initiative).
