Overview
Introduction and purpose of the study:
You are invited to participate in a research study to help explore attitudes and awareness about NAFLD in teenagers. The purpose of the study is to gain a better understanding of your knowledge of liver health and disease in teenagers. The results of this survey will be used to understand your perspectives and can provide valuable information about awareness of NAFLD in teenagers. This is a one-time survey, and you will not be re-contacted.
What will happen if I take part in this research study?
If you agree to participate, you will be asked to complete an anonymous survey online via the Survey Monkey platform. The questionnaire includes 21 questions and should take approximately 5-10 minutes to complete.
What risks or benefits can I expect from being in the study?
No possible risks or benefits are foreseen. Your responses will be completely confidential and no personal identifying information will be gathered from you. Although there is no foreseeable benefit to you, you are helping me gain an understanding of your awareness of NAFLD in teenagers, and you will be helping to build a base of knowledge.
Will my information be kept private?
There is no identifying code on the survey form and your identity will be kept completely private. Only group data will be reported, and responses will not be identifiable to an individual person. What other choices do I have if I do not take part in this study?
Taking part in this research study is voluntary. If you choose not to participate, there will be no penalty or loss of benefits to which you are otherwise entitled.
