Welcome to the HEART UK Step-by-Step Guide to Dietary Advice for Cholesterol Management Study

Thank you for your interest in taking part. This short online process will guide you through the study information, ask for your consent, and check whether you are eligible.

About the Study
The Step-by-Step Guide to Dietary Advice for Cholesterol Management, with the patient information sheet, is a practical tool to help health professionals assess diet, identify improvements, and provide tailored cholesterol advice. This study, run by HEART UK, will explore whether the guide helps health professionals feel more confident and supported in giving dietary advice.

Who can take part?
We are inviting UK health professionals who:
  • Regularly advise patients with high cholesterol in their day-to-day practice
  • Provide lifestyle and dietary advice as part of their role
  • Have not previously used HEART UK’s Step-by-Step Guide
What will you need to do?
Once you consent to the study, you will be asked to complete a short screening survey to check if the study is right for you.
If you are eligible, you will then be asked to:
  • Complete a 15-minute baseline survey
  • Use the Step-by-Step Guide in practice over 4 weeks
  • Complete a 15-minute follow-up survey
As a thank you, those completing both surveys can enter a free prize draw to win one of five £100 vouchers.

Before you decide, the Participant Information Sheet (PIS) explains everything you need to know, including full details of your involvement in the study, how your information will be used, and your rights.
