Comments on New Medicaid Access Rule

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) have proposed two new rules that would improve the service and delivery of Medicaid and the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP), Ensuring Access to Medicaid Services and Medicaid and Children’s Health Insurance Program Managed Care Access, Finance, and Quality.  Both of the proposed rules aim to improve the access and quality of care, improve transparency, and address health inequity within Medicaid and Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP). 

CMS is accepting comments on the proposed rules until July 3rd.  AUCD will be submitting comments and is collecting suggestions on what to include in our comments from our members. In order to help organize suggested comments, AUCD has created a survey to share comments on the proposed rules.  Given the length of the rules and needing time to draft the comments, AUCD will be taking suggested comments and using it to craft AUCD’s comments until June 7th.  If you have questions, please reach out to Cindy Smith (csmith@aucd.org) or Kevin Ryle (kryle@aucd.org)
