Foothills Park & Recreation District is seeking community input as we pursue grant funding to complete the paved trail around Hine Lake at Easton Regional Park.
The proposed project will pave the remaining section of the Hine Lake loop trail and construct paved connections to the north and south of the lake. These improvements will complete the trail loop, enhance accessibility for people of all ages and abilities, and provide better connections to surrounding regional trails, making it easier for visitors to access and enjoy the area’s broader trail network. Where width allows, the intent would be to retain a portion of the soft surface trail alongside the paved trail.
Paving the trail will also improve year-round maintenance. Staff will be able to efficiently plow snow, sweep debris, and perform routine maintenance, providing a safer, more reliable, and more enjoyable trail experience throughout the year.
