Lafayette Consolidated Government (LCG) is developing a growth plan for areas in Lafayette Parish. This mainly includes the unincorporated areas-meaning areas outside the city of Lafayette, and outside other municipalities throughout the Parish. The goals of the growth plan include:

● Encourage growth where it can be supported by public infrastructure
● Reduce conflicts between land uses
● Increase standards for development near the boundaries of all municipalities
● Coordinating growth with utilities, transportation, and other planned services

This survey is being sent to residents of Lafayette Parish to share their experiences, observations, and concerns about growth and development in the parish. As a resident of the parish, your insights and ideas are critical to developing tools that address the most significant local growth challenges and reflect community priorities. Your input will be used to help prioritize key issues associated with growth and development and identify effective strategies to address them.

If you would like more information about the process of developing the growth plan, you may contact Cathie Gilbert at 337-291-8454, cgilbert@lafayettela.gov.
