Course Name: Lighting Essentials
Level: Fundamental
This course will prepare newcomers or those with minimal lighting experience to the lighting industry with an introduction to lighting terminology, nomenclature, system technology and basic applications.
What you will learn:
• Fundamentals of light, vision and color
• Lighting technology (LED and Traditional)
• Lighting system operating characteristics
• Basic lighting applications
• Basic understanding of controls and control options
• Reference tools
Who should attend:
Electrical distributor and wholesaler personnel, electrical contractors, utility account executives and anyone who is relatively new to the business of lighting. A minimum working knowledge of lamps and lighting is preferred.
Course Fee:
$450 (Wilmington, MA – 3 days) covers course materials, breakfasts, lunches and a group dinner.

How it works:
• Arrive evening before class begins (typically Sunday afternoon/evening) leave at 2 PM (flights after 4PM) on third day of class (typically Wednesday)
• Your only transportation requirement is to get yourself from the airport to the hotel on arrival; we provide all transportation thereafter including back to the airport.
• Hotels: We book a block of rooms at an aggressive rate at a local hotel from which we provide transport to and from each day of the course. During registration, you will have the opportunity to request a booking in our block and we will make that reservation on your behalf. Guests are responsible for paying their own hotel charges.
- Course registrations are handled on a first come/first serve basis and is subject to capacity limits
- Successful submission of the registration application does not guarantee a position in the session
- Successful applicants will receive written acknowledgment of their acceptance via email within 2 business days of submission.
In all cases space is limited, so please register as soon as possible. A detailed confirmation package will be sent to you prior to the start of the course, including hotel & transportation arrangements, and general agenda. Confirmed enrollments are transferable.
