Yolo Nonprofit Crisis Response Activities Survey

The Yolo Community Foundation, in partnership with Yolo County, Woodland, Winters, West Sacramento, and Davis, is responding to the COVID-19 crisis through the Yolo COVID-19 Nonprofit Relief Initiative. The Initiative is following a three-part approach: 1) A community-wide donor education campaign intended to encourage local donors to give directly to local nonprofits; 2) The Yolo COVID-19 Relief Fund, which will make grants to local nonprofits, and 3) A technical assistance program, offering training on critical issues (e.g., cash flow management, fundraising in times of crisis) to local nonprofits.

This survey is to inform the Yolo Community Foundation's donor education work. Please only share information that you are comfortable with us sharing with the general public. (You are welcome to share information confidentially by reaching out directly to Jessica Hubbard, YCF's executive director, at Jessica.hubbard@yolocf.org.)
1.Is your organization carrying out activities in any of the following areas?
2.To inspire donors to give directly to local nonprofits, the Foundation is sharing stories about how local nonprofits are serving the community during this crisis. Please share a short summary (max 3-5 sentences) of the specific activities your nonprofit undertaking to address community needs created by this unprecedented crisis. We will be featuring the nonprofits that respond on the Foundation’s website, on social media, in press releases, and directly with potential donors who contact us for information.
3.What are the current impacts of the COVID-19 crisis on your organization? If possible, please provide specific information, such as number of people laid off or furloughed, reduction in March 2020 revenue relative to 2019, percentage increase in demand for your services, and/or number of Personal Protective Equipment items needed.

Please describe any other likely and anticipated impacts of the COVID-19 crisis on your organization throughout 2020, such as cancellation of summer classes or events, or facility closures.

Finally, briefly describe 2-3 areas (e.g., expanding services, retaining staff) where you most need funding right now.
4.Is your organization currently seeking volunteers (for activities that can be done under safe social-distancing conditions)? If so, please share a brief summary of your volunteer opportunities, including how to sign up. Please note that we may share the information you provide in our donor education materials.
5.What webpage should prospective donors go to in order to learn more about your work and potentially donate? (Please note that we may link directly to this site in our donor education materials.)
6.Is the Yolo County Community Foundation authorized to share the information in your responses publicly, as well as information about your organization
from your web site or other public materials? This includes direct quotes.

If the answer is Yes, we need photographs! Please email 3 images to randy.rodriguez@yolocf.org. We need pictures of staff and volunteers working, your facilities set up to help the community, people interacting with your nonprofit.
