Colorado Partner Universal Vaccine Purchase Survey

Questionnaire

Thank you for completing this brief survey on universal vaccine purchase in Colorado.

If you are not familiar with universal vaccine purchase programs, these are state-led programs in which the state buys recommended vaccines at a steep discount and distributes them for free to participating health care providers. This means individual providers or health systems don’t have to buy commercial vaccines on their own.

About 10 states do this now with wide variability in how they approach it and what vaccines are included. Some states cover all recommended vaccines, while others cover only some. Some states have universal purchase for certain populations (e.g., children only) while others cover the entire population.

We are interested in your perspective on the concept of universal vaccine purchase as well as considerations for different program structures. Your responses to this survey are anonymous. The survey is part of a feasibility study led by CDPHE and supported by the Colorado Health Institute and the Association of State and Territorial Health Officials (ASTHO). Responses will be shared with CDPHE and the Colorado Health Institute for research and evaluation purposes; however, no identifying information about who submitted a response will be shared or reported.

We’ll use the responses to this survey and other research and information gathered to develop a report with analysis and considerations regarding universal vaccine purchasing. The report will be public, and we will work with ASTHO to distribute learnings from it to other states.
