WordPress Developer, Marijuana Business Daily

Marijuana Business Daily, organizer of the largest business-to-business trade show in the industry and publisher of various news and information products, is looking to add to our team. Our trade show was named the fastest growing show in the country by Trade Show Executive for 2015, and our company was named to the Inc. 500 list for fastest growing companies in August 2016.

Our team needs a WordPress Developer to help upgrade and maintain our portfolio of sites. In this role, you will collaborate with our fun and talented team to take on web site upgrade projects and drive them to a successful conclusion. You will also be asked to step outside of the WordPress world to execute assignments within key SaaS-based technology tools, and to help troubleshoot minor IT issues. This is a full-time position based out of our Denver office.

We are looking for someone with strong core skills as well as a willingness to roll up their sleeves and get done what needs to get done.

What we’re looking for from you:

· A web/project portfolio that demonstrates your talent
·         Ability to code in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery and PHP
·         Knowledge of responsive design and best practices for desktop, tablet, and mobile devices
·         Familiarity with hosting environments and code version control systems
·         Optimization of sites for SEO, speed and overall performance
·         QA testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance tasks
·         Requirement gathering and communication skills
·         A willingness to learn new tools, implement APIs to outside systems, and take on general tech troubleshooting tasks
·         A positive attitude and the ability to solve problems

Required Experience:

·         At least one year of full-time professional WordPress experience

Bonus skill sets:

·         Direct experience with media or conference companies
·         Conversion optimization
·         Amazon AWS
·         3rd party API integration
·         Salesforce
