Acolyte * - Serves as the “crucifer” who carries the cross, and/or "thurifer” who swings incense when used, and who manages the lighting and snuffing of candles before and after worship. This is open to children and adults.

Greeter *- A hugely important ministry because you are the first face of St. Augustine’s with whom visitors interact. Arrives early to manage name badges, greet people, and help them find a seat or direct them to Children’s Ministry, if necessary. Asks visitors to sign in to provide contact info for us to follow up.

Lay Reader *- Stands up at the lectern and proclaim the OT, psalm, and epistle lessons for the day. Lay readers also lead the Prayers of the People.

Lay Eucharistic Minister *- Assists in Holy Communion by serving as a chalice bearer.

Altar Guild *- Works with Altar Guild Chair to get the communion table ready before the service, clean up after, and help keep track of communion supplies.

Clean Up *- Stays after service to help pack everything up and clean up at the chapel.

Tech Ministry *– Works with the Rector to set up our projection system and store it away after worship. (Training provided)

Music Team *- Works with our Director of Music to provide musical worship. This position does require gifting in a specific area (vocals and / or instrumental).

Children's Ministry *- Works with Father Madanu to lead the ministry for our children (Godly Play and beyond). This position requires training and an official background check that St. Augustine’s will pay for.

Security (prior authorization from rector and Director of Security needed along with other conditions) - Helps maintain security of the chapel during worship. See rector for details.

Fellowship Hour *- Brings snacks and refreshments for fellowship hour in Kirk Hall.

Thank you in advance for your willingness to serve. The Lord will surely bless your service to his people!

In Christ,
Father Maney+

* No previous experience is necessary. Training is available for any of these roles. Children's Ministry volunteers must have complete Ministry Safe training (about an hour of online training and assessment) and a background check paid for by St. Augustine's.
