Burlington Brewers Festival 2023 Volunteering

We're getting ready for our 30th annual Burlington Brewers Festival on the Burlington waterfront Friday July 21 and Saturday July 22. We need volunteers to help us make the event a success! This year, there will be one tasting session on Friday from 5:30PM to 9:30PM as well as two tasting sessions from 12:00PM to 4:00PM and 5:30PM to 9:30PM on Saturday.

This year we are splitting the volunteer times into three sessions each day (times are still approximate and may vary slightly)
1. 10:30am-2:30pm
2. 2:30pm-6:30pm
3. 6:30pm-10pm
As a thank you for volunteering you will receive entrance into another session of the festival. Anyone volunteering must be over 21.

While you will only be assigned one session, please include all that you would be available for. Anyone working a MID session (2:30-6:30) Friday or Saturday has the option of attending the rest of that session of the festival (taps will be open until 930pm) directly after their volunteer session is completed with out waiting in line or they can attend a completely separate session.

Admissions - Set up admissions area, manage flow, process tickets, hand out programs; shift to Operations after opening

Operations - General support, check for trash, empty brewer ticket buckets and slop buckets periodically, monitor perimeter, answer questions, assist education tent, do sweep at end of session

Brewer Support - Requires heavy lifting: organize beer trucks, load in beer and ice, collect and organize empty kegs; times vary

Merchandise - Sell extra tickets, festival merchandise, and fulfill Vermont Brewers Association passports

DLC Certified Pourer - Assist brewers with pouring; must provide proof of current DLC certification (through the VT Department of Liquor Control, onsite job certifications aren't valid)

* 7. As a thank you for volunteering, you will receive one voucher to attend a tasting session. The voucher is not transferable and you must pay $5 (cash) that covers the tax on the souvenir tasting glass and beer tickets. Which tasting session would you like to attend?

Please note that volunteers may not attend a tasting session the morning before a volunteer session. Volunteers for Saturday PM will be able to taste any session Friday. If a certain session sells out to maximum capacity we will request that you attend a less busy one if you are able!
