The Families First Discovery Pass program was launched in 2019 as a partnership between the New Jersey State Council on the Arts, the New Jersey Historical Commission, and the NJ Departments of Human Services (DHS) and Health (DOH).

Registration is rolling, however, materials and the websites are updated according to a series of deadlines. For participation in the 2023-2024 program, sign-up by November 9th, January 31st, or May 1st.

Offer customer-service training to your admissions, box-office, or equivalent staff about the program and your discount.

Collect information on the use of this discount*:  
  • How many adults attended?
  • How many children attended?
  • What impact has participation in this program had on your organization's ability to reach new community members?
  • Report to the above information to the New Jersey State Council on the Arts by August 2, 2024.

*If your organization offers free entry to all patrons, you do not need to collect use data. We instead ask you to submit anecdotal information/program impact response.
