Interest in Engaging with Outreach & Recruitment Programs

Please fill out the interest form to learn about community engagement initiatives with the outreach and recruitment team at Emory University School of Medicine. Examples of engagement opportunities are:

Recruitment programming includes workshops, tours, presence at health professional fairs, and opportunities to speak with prospective applicants.

Pathway Programming includes serving as a mentor or workshop presenter with our signature programs known as EPiC and HealthPREP. Descriptions of each program are below.

EPiC Emory Pipeline Collaborative (EPiC) and graduate student organization Pipeline selects graduate students as Spring semester instructors/mentors to undergraduate and high school students in the program. Commitment is ~4:30-7:00 Wednesday’s January to April.

Current SOM students can also propose workshops for the high school summer institute that occurs the first two weeks of June.

HealthPREP
(June-July) - HealthPREP is an eight-week program by Emory University School of Medicine and Rollins School of Public Health, aimed at helping first-generation college-graduating and/or low-income students enter health-related graduate and professional schools. Current SOM learners can assist participants develop skills to enhance their admissions competitiveness through test preparation, professional development, primary care exposure, and public health seminars, culminating in a research proposal and presentation on health equity topics.
