The Burlington Landfill site represents one of the few remaining large-scale redevelopment opportunities near downtown. For years, it has served the community as a gathering place for recreation and events. Now, there is an opportunity to establish a long-term vision for the landfill site and surrounding properties that transforms this underutilized area into a productive community asset, enhances downtown Burlington, and creates new recreational, economic, and community spaces that benefit residents and the broader region.
The planning process includes data collection, site analysis, stakeholder engagement, and community input to identify opportunities and challenges for the future of the site. The findings from this survey will inform an exciting vision for the Landfill site built on community input, celebrating Burlington’s unique qualities, and setting the stage for a resilient local economy.
About the Survey
We began gathering input on the topics included in this survey at our in-person open house on June 9th. This survey is designed to give you the same opportunity to review each topic at your own pace. You can go through and answer all of the questions, or you can choose to respond to the topics most important to you.
