In 2012, building on recommendations from the Urban Green-led Green Codes Task Force, the city adopted Zone Green. This comprehensive set of amendments to the zoning resolution has facilitated green building practices—from better-insulated walls to allowances for sun control devices and solar panels. Over five years have passed, and it’s time for an assessment and perhaps a tune-up.
