Aligned with the Centre for Community Based Research's (CCBR) mission to promote social justice and foster inclusive, supportive communities, we are offering up to three bursary spots per course to increase accessibility for individuals with limited access to power and opportunities. In addition, for a limited time, we are offering 12 spots at 50% off, thanks to the generous support of our partner, the Evaluation Capacity Network.

The purpose of the bursary is to make our courses more accessible to people who otherwise are unable to afford the full registration fee. To be considered, applicants must demonstrate how the course will enhance their ability to support the goals, strengths, and well-being of the communities they serve or belong to, in ways that advance social justice and equity. As bursary funding is limited, please provide a detailed and specific response to Question #9.

Special consideration will be given to applications from underrepresented and structurally marginalized communities, including Indigenous peoples, Black and racialized communities, persons with disabilities, the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, and newcomers, refugees, and asylum seekers.

Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.

Please note:
  • This form indicates your interest in the bursary program. It does not guarantee a spot.
  • You will receive a decision from the CCBR bursary team approximately six weeks before the course begins.
  • If you apply within six weeks of the course start date, you will be notified of the outcome on a rolling basis, subject to bursary availability.
  • For any questions, please contact dayan@communitybasedresearch.ca.
