The Green Medal Sustainability Award recognizes the life, vision, and work of an honoree that embodies the highest ideals of leadership in promoting sustainable gardening. It is open to both members and non-members in all professions and allied trades.

The nomination process is simple. Fill in the form below with both your own and your nominee’s information. (You may also nominate yourself.) Write a brief (150 words), passionate, compelling story about what distinguishes nominees from their peers. Highlight how the nominee has made a significant difference, benefited others, or created transformational change in his/her segment of the green community.

Nominations will be reviewed by a panel of volunteer judges comprised of members of the GWA Sustainability Committee.

Nominees must agree to accept the award in person at the GWA Awards & Honors Dinner on August 16, 2018 as part of the GWA Annual Conference & Expo in Chicago, IL, should they be selected as the honoree.

When announcing the award in press releases, advertising, promotional material, publications, interviews, etc., please include the award's name and year.
