The Municipal Complex Pedestrian Routing Plan, being prepared by consultant firm Russell + Mills Studios, recommends improvements to the pedestrian connections and the environment from 20th Street to 22nd Street including the Municipal Building, north parking lot, as well as pedestrian connections to the Civic Commons and to Pioneer Ave.

1.The proposed plan enhances connections within the Municipal Complex and to the surrounding area.
2.The proposed plan increases pedestrian safety and comfort by eliminating and creating safer vehicle/pedestrian conflict points, adding better lighting for evening safety and creating more direct paths.
3.The proposed plan creates an inviting civic character and identity.
4.The proposed memorial plaza is a good solution for honoring and maintaining this civic use.
