The Municipal Reserve areas throughout the Summer Village are considered to be a place for active or passive park and recreation areas, and where walking trails and enjoyment of the natural plant and wild life for residents and their guests are provided. Over time, land owners began encroaching onto the reserve areas with the storage of various chattels and in some cases, more permanent items such as sheds. Last year, the Summer Village initiated clean up and enforcement of the removal of these items starting in the west end of the Summer Village by having the reserve areas surveyed and marked. Where encroachments existed, residents have been given until May 31, 2017 to remove same. The Summer Village will be continuing with this enforcement throughout the entire Summer Village.

In consideration of non-lakefront owners and their more limited ability to access the lake, we are requesting resident feedback on whether or not to allow the storage of boat lifts and docks on the municipal reserve areas.
