Audubon Great Lakes has received funding to lead the restoration of Hatcher Park and Marshalltown Marsh site. Hatcher Park has not been invested into for close to 25 years but has the opportunity to become accessible to the public and provide recreational activities once again for Gary residents. We believe that healthy nature leads to healthy communities. Restoring the adjacent wetland area, Marshalltown marsh, will aid with flood prevention and provide habitat for declining plant and animal species. Your input regarding the future vision for the site improvements are important to us.
