APRA AMCOS is delighted to present 321 Sessions, a fun and informal opportunity for Adelaide-based songwriters/composers to try their hand at co-writing with fellow writers.

Held on Friday April 14 at Fat Trax Studios, the 321 Sessions provides a no-pressure environment for creators to collaborate outside their comfort zones.

Come along, write new music and make new friends! EXTENDED DEADLINE FOR APPLICATIONS IS FRIDAY 17 MARCH.

This session we welcome artist and songwriter Keeskea to curate the sessions.

Vanessa Marousopoulos is a non-binary artist and producer based in Adelaide, writing and performing as part of their solo project Keeskea (case-kay-ah). Building a reputation for disarmingly unguarded performances, Keeskea has shared stages with the likes of Julia Holter (USA), Stella Donnelly, Jess Locke and many more, and performed at festivals including Against The Grain Festival, Mountain Goat Valley Crawl and Half Strange. Described as “lofty and delicate, yet fiercely present and potent” (Laundry Echo), Vanessa self-produced Keeskea's debut EP, 'Find Yourself Alone' and released via Adelaide label Hobbledehoy Records in 2019.

Vanessa currently plays in local Adelaide bands Workhorse, Mum Friends and Rose Clouseau. Past projects include dream-pop trio, sleepclub, alongside Monica Sottile (Sweater Curse, Monnie, Thelma Plum) and Amber Ramsay (Cloud Tangle) and as a touring drummer for Tia Gostelow. They are a passionate volunteer for local youth organisation, Girls Rock! Adelaide, having mentored at their Rock Camp programs in 2019, 2021 and 2022.

Successful 321 applicants will be personally matched, by our curator Vanessa (Keeskea), in a session with two other APRA AMCOS members artists to write in a space within the studio for two hours to try and create a new work! We'll kick off the session meeting with Keeskea who will provide some hints and tips to get you started.

We are looking for artists who have:
* Demonstrated capacity to write works;
* Interest in developing co-writing skills;
* Are open to working with others;
* Are available 9am - 5pm Friday 14th April 2023.

Please note that by applying for this opportunity you understand that the selection committee's decision will be final and that percentage splits for works created in this process will be shared equally by the participants unless agreed in writing prior to the sessions.

The selection committee will be made up of an APRA AMCOS representative and 321 Sessions curator Keeskea.
