We welcome environmental public health food safety program professionals from state, local, tribal, and territorial governmental agencies to attend this annual training event.

CDC NEARS offers highly effective training and support for foodborne illness outbreak investigations, helps improve food safety program operations and processes, and contributes to advancing National Food Safety.

Need funding support? Travel awards will be granted by the National Environmental Health Association (NEHA) to qualified applicants and are funded through a cooperative agreement with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Be sure to select 'Yes' to question #15 to be considered for a Travel Award. Travel award recipients will be notified between November 16 - 30, 2026.
