PAX Mentorship Program - Code of Conduct for Mentees |
The goal of this Mentorship Program Code of Conduct (“Code”) is to define and maintain a standard of behaviour that is expected of participants in the Program to ensure all mentors and mentees have a consistent, highly professional and meaningful experience.
The Mentee Code of Conduct guides mentees in understanding their roles within the mentoring relationship.
Please ensure you read the Code and sign off at the end.
Expectations for Mentees
Engage Actively:
Be proactive in seeking guidance and feedback and managing your mentorship journey.
Identify your goals and prepare for meetings with clear objectives to support your professional growth.
Communicate clearly and always be respectful.
Demonstrate ethical behaviour and integrity.

Listen actively and respect differences in beliefs and opinions
Respect the Mentor’s Time:
Be punctual and respectful of the mentor’s availability.
Communicate any changes in availability in advance.
Be Open to Feedback:
Accept constructive criticism gracefully.
Maintain Confidentiality:
Respect the confidentiality of shared information.
Cultivate a Learning Attitude:
Stay open to new ideas and be willing to learn from the mentor’s experiences.
Abide by your employer's Privacy and Confidentiality Policies
Unacceptable Behaviours:
Using the program solely for job-seeking or networking purposes.
Any form of harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate conduct.
Harsh, critical and demeaning comments or feedback of any kind.
Sharing confidential information without permission.
Falsifying information or misrepresenting oneself.
Using the program to express political, religious or ideological views that could potentially be offensive to other community members
Conduct violations
Report any conduct violations to the IMA office. Violation of the Code of Conduct may result in removal from the mentorship program or other disciplinary actions as determined by the IMA.
