Senior Center and Adult Day Program
Welcome to Our Survey
If you are currently caring for someone who is 60 years of age or older or have someone living in your household who is age 60 or older who could benefit from time away from home, we would like to hear from you. Also, anyone caring for an individual of any age who is diagnosed with Alzheimer's Dementia, we welcome your feedback as well.
Office for the Aging is looking into the feasibility of a senior center with a social adult day program within Schuyler County, but we need to know if the service would be utilized. We kindly ask that you take a few minutes to answer the following questions. Please submit no later than 9/30/21.
To better help you answer the questions, please see the following explanations.
Senior Center = A central gathering location for organized and scheduled activities to involve older adults in courses, workshops, and other programs that satisfy the use of free time. Activities may include computer classes, Tai Chi, cooking, music, dancing, card games, painting, drawing, walks, historical topics, current events and more.
Social Adult Day Program = A structured, comprehensive program which provides socialization, supervision and monitoring, personal care and nutrition in a protective setting during a portion of the day for individuals who are living with mild to moderate dementia and/or who need assistance for toileting, mobility, transferring or eating and/or who need supervision due to the impact of substance-related disorders, anxiety, or mood disorders such as depression.
THANK YOU for participating in our survey. Your feedback is very important.
