Engine Operations for Wildland Fire Suppression and Structure Protection (TIFMAS Engine Module) - 8 hours

The Executive Board of the Texas Fire Chief’s Association supports the training required by TIFMAS for the Basic Wildland Firefighter however, the Board believes it does not provide all the training a firefighter needs to fight a wildland fire, especially when using engines in fire suppression activities. This course was developed to provide basic fundamental training needed by a wildland firefighter to employ engines for wildland fire suppression and structure fire protection.
