2019 U.S. Open International Application

Dear National Ultimate Federations and Ultimate teams -

USA Ultimate is currently accepting applications for teams interested in competing in the 2019 U.S. Open Club Championships (USOCC), August 2-4, at the National Sports Center in Blaine, Minnesota.

The USOCC is a premier international event that features 36 of the top club teams across three divisions (Men's, Mixed, and Women's) from the United States and abroad.  Each year, the semifinalists from USA Ultimate's most recent National Championships attend the event to compete against other top club teams from the U.S. and international communities.

To date, the USOCC has hosted teams from from Australia, Canada, Colombia, Denmark, Germany, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Panama, Southeast Asia, United Kingdom, and the United States, and crowned champions from four countries.

Media partners, including ESPN, will provide live streaming coverage for games throughout the event. On championship Sunday, $9,000 in prize money will be awarded to finalists of the U.S. Open across the three competition divisions.

Interested in sending a youth team?

After a successful merger in 2017, the USOCC will once again include the Youth Club Championships (YCC) division. The YCC competition will be held Saturday, August 3 to Monday, August 5, and is comprised of athletes under the age of 20, competing in the boys, girls, and mixed divisions. In 2017, international youth teams attended YCC for the first time, with more teams attending in 2018.

If your country is interested in sending a team to compete in the Youth Club Championships division, please email Joy Ferenbaugh - Manager, Athlete Programs (Youth division) at joy@hq.usaultimate.org.

U.S. Open Convention

The competitions will also be held alongside the annual U.S. Open Convention, where organizers and leaders, top coaches and players, from across the U.S. and international community will come together to network and learn about growing and developing the sport.
